i'm BACK from MT :D
so much happened man.
and boy did the ten days pass so fast.
right, i shall summarize what happened briefly everyday.
dont mind me if i get the things we did mixed up.
i have serious STM.
FIRST DAY.
arrived at bangkok and sat the bus to buayai.
had dinner with the entire YI halfway through the trip and headed back on the bus to the resort.
reached the resort and rested.
didn't do much on that day.
but hongzhang lasted his own concert for a whole two hours.
so much for nicholas's head for curry though.
YILIN AND GLADYS WERE MY ROOMMATES.
think about the crazy things we did!
SECOND DAY.
went to teach english at a school.
they were pretty teachable i guess.
and i have to say that they were more enthusiastic than what you can expect singaporean students to be.
did evangelistic stuffs.
THIRD DAY.
went to another school, which we were supposed to be at for the next day as well.
the students there were pretty nice too.
and they were keen to learn. plus, spontaneous.
had a rally at night.
did tracting to inform people about the rally first.
and we could hear the people chanting because of a funeral from far.
the spiritual atmosphere wasn't so good because there was a huge buddha statue in the building we were supposed to do the skits and stuff in front of and there was an altar near it.
but i think we were really prayerful and God really answered our prayers luhs.
children started coming, followed by adults.
it was a really powerful event.
and we asked for those who wanted healing as well.
i'm awed by the courage of those who decided to take that step of faith and ask for healing.
one lady even asked let us cut off her charms!
lesson learnt?
be prayerful at all times, no matter what circumstance.
and always praise God, not just to draw attention because God will draw men to Him at His own timing, which is the best :D
FOURTH DAY.
went to the school again and were supposed to watch FACING THE GIANTS in thai. but i think we couldn't get it working and the plan was delayed for a little while.
made friends with many nhong nhongs.
and they even bought ice cream for sheryl and i. sweet eh? but we couldn't eat them ><
has mass evangelism.
did skits and sang songs.
saw many salvations.
for the students and even TEACHERS.
awesome eh?
did another rally at night.
this time, we heard christian songs playing in thai.
and i think it led us to the place we were supposed to be at.
ahahahah(:
led the kids for games with desmond, hongzhang and nicholas.
did several skits.
had testimony by desmond and sharing by justin.
saw many people saved.
asked for those who wanted healing again, and this time, quite a number of people came out.
there was this guy who left a pretty deep impression on me.
he had a pain in his leg and couldn't walk properly. we prayed for him and he got better.
sunil came over and saw that he wasn't right mentally.
so we prayed again and we could see that his expression was totally different from what we saw before we prayed for him for THAT particular thing.
PRAISE THE LORD!
learnt that we should be sensitive to the Holy Spirit at all times.
and listen out for what He has to say.
FIFTH DAY.
had children ministry.
i shared my testimony with the help of God.
i just gave everything to Him and He really gave me the courage to go up and share.
awesome :D
mixed around with the children.
i think we went to kon kaen to help out with the concert that night as well.
SIXTH DAY.
there was church service, since it was sunday.
didn't understand anything at all, and when i told the rest of my group, they were like "duh?!"
went to a village. but we didn't have rally because it was too small.
so we did door to door evangelism/tracting.
God really used sheryl,yaode,daniel,shunji(and i forgot who else)mightily.
really awesome how sheryl knew what the statues meant.
camwhored with nicholas and desmond when they weren't back yet.
went for dinner at some place. had noodles. and the guys complained it was too little and went to another place to eat more.
nicholas ate two more plates -.-
i'm not sure whether it was this day, but alex and desmond started doing very gross things in the van. and sheryl has the video!
hongzhang scared me with a cockroach until i cried.
thanks uh.
desmond had to catch the cockroach from our room :D
showered last that day.
i didn't feel like bathing early =X
SEVENTH DAY.
woke up pretty early since we had to check out that day and had to pack our beds and room.
hongzhang FROZE the two disgusting insects to death, along with a few pocky sticks and a bit of chocolate milk, i think.
i pity whoever is going to use that bottle next. gross.
went to tesco(it was a surprise, mind you)
we thought we were going to a village and we ended up at a supermart.
sunil said we were SLOW. hahaha :D
ate ALOT of doughnuts.
headed back to church for debrief.
it was really awesome how God has used stephen to speak to us so much.
the verses he has shared with us and all has really encouraged us to ENCOURAGE each other with verses as well.
we took turns to pray for each other and spoke into each others lives.
it was a great time of prayer.
everyone teared/cried during that debrief.
the Holy Spirit really worked in us!
the bus to bangkok came at 11pm.
all of us slept on the bus, since it was a close to 8 hour bus ride.
nicholas put his leg on my armrest and i ended up resting my arm on his leg instead of the armrest -.-
we were FREEZING to death at the back.
hahaha.
EIGHTH DAY.
reached maxx hotel at around 6am in the morning.
gathered at the huge hall and waited for pastor daniel to arrive so we could celebrate his birthday.
went to shower after that and gathered again for briefing because we were going to MBK to shop.
BUAYAI people were the first to be down at the lobby for shopping. lols.
dingming started editing photos on the bus ride to MBK >< heh.
the guys shopped more than us at MBK lor.
i walked for around 3hours before i decided to buy something.
in the end? i only bought 3 shirts.
dinner-ed at the sizzler.
sheryl and i shared a steak and it was already super filling for us.
walked around more and went back to maxx hotel.
there WASN'T any house warming.
sheryl and i ordered club sandwiches and they were delicious.
ohyeah. i sent my clothes for laundry that day.
they smell super nice.
nicholas, daniel and alfred had night party in the corridor.
sheryl and i slept at around 12midnight! EARLIER than anyone else i think.
LAST DAY.
had breakfast pretty early in the morning.
packed our stuff and checked out of the hotel.
went high on the way to the airport.
had lunch at the airport and went to gate E9.
our group was MIA because we went INSIDE first.
the plane ride back was super tiring.
i slept pretty much.
and DAD IN LAW was sitting behind us.
with weihao too.
took unglams of him.
waited super long for our luaggages and when we walked out?
we saw our "fan club" waiting for us.
jacelyn gave us a bouquet of "roses" each.
super sweet.
peiru,liying,cleo,joyce,yingying,yikiat,sean,jiajun and daniel were there too.
went home after that :D
I MISS MISSION TRIP ALREADY.
AND ALL THE PRETTY STARS THERE.
I'LL BRING BACK WHATEVER I'VE LEARNT THERE TO SINGAPORE AND APPLY IT TO MY EVERYDAY LIFE!
