I'M BORED AND OVERFLOW-ED WITH A HUMONGOUS AMOUNT OF SEC3
MATH HOMEWORK.
its getting so irritating to have 2 math(s) to cope with -.-
and those two books can occupy 1/2 of my new schoolbag already. i sincerely hope it doesn't tear into bits after i manage to stuff the other TWO of my science books and the rest. but science being my most HATED subject;note the hatred here :/ , i will most unwillingly allow the textbook itself to be in my possession, whats more in my precious bag.
i guess i'll just have to make myself fall in love with science so i can STUDY it and SCORE well.
and thats one of my new year's resolutions for 2008.
besides the scoring well overall and hopefully As for as many subjects as possible, i want at LEAST a B for science. ahhhh. aim high. aim high. A1 for science, HAPPY?
(and i'll totally freak out if i score lower than an A2 for my english. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN MY ENTIRE 2 YEARS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL LIFE BEFORE. oh wait. maybe the time when mr lee taught me =X SHHHH! but everyone says its almost impossible to score so well. darn.)yeah right. i must be dreaming. but in the end, if i hate the subject, i doubt i'll be able to force myself to study, needless to say do well for it.
whatever. i think the workload is going to kill, just looking at the amount of books i have on my rack now. looking on the brighter side, the A math book is going to last us two years. so i'll have to handle it with TENDER LOVING CARE now, in case the front cover of it DROPS OFF like what happened to my sec2 math&science textbook.
no changyen, no negative thoughts about 2008 before it even comes.
i promise myself i'll study hard for sec3.

Lord, give me perseverance so that no matter what failures i experience in the year 2008, that i will never give up so that i may glorify you in every aspect of my life(:

FINE. i shall do new year's resolutions now.
i wrote them ALL down, but i think i'll just have to try and recall since i'm too lazy to go get my book.
#1 my relationship with God to strengthen even more and spiritual life to be taken up to the another level.
#2 be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit;to obey in whatever situation, and respond in whatever He has called me to do.
#3 study HARDDDDDDDD(core) and bring glory to His name.
#4 be faithful and consistent in QT and discipleship.
#5 serve in ministry? (still contemplating though. haven't really prayed about it)
#6 to be able to carry His presence so strongly around that people KNOW i'm a christian.
#7 improve relationship with siblings(i don't REALLY talk to them that much, you know)
#8 to avoid quarrelling with my parents. best if its NO QUARREL for the whole year.
#9 TO BE A LIVING TESTIMONY FOR HIM.
#10 a better attitude towards some peopple/things;for God to mould me to become more like Him!
i guess thats all. BWAHAHAHHAHA.
i'm not done with my math homework yet. darn. i feel like turning on the aircon in the living room :/

and something amusing that happened yesterday?
that made me totally agree with ps matt fielder, and joyce, who mentioned something he said in YI camp yesterday.
GOD HAS HUMOUR.
in fact, He INVENTED humour.
met up with joyce yesterday at KAP before heading to bukit timah plaza.
it was SOOOOO warm yesterday and we kept complaining about the stupid sun and how it makes us perspire even though we WERE wearing sleeveless shirts :/
both of us are RAIN people.
but the only bad thing is that. when we want to tan, the sun isn't out. when we don't want it? it comes out purposely.
rain is better than the sun~

alright. after the 3(or was it 4?)traffic lights of complaining about the horrible sun(obviously, the heat rays are caused by ozone depletion. so the blame should go to those people who use things with CFCs in them), and asking God for rain, the whole joke started with a little drizzle.
at first, we were like. OKAY, its just a LITTLE rain.
*brothers continue walking slowly, enjoying the raindrops falling*
then it poured. literally.
the rain was so heavy we were drenched within 3minutes, i'd say XP
when we finally reached bukit timah plaza, 2 caucasian guys were staring at us like we were/are some sort of aliens(i am not going to make the same mistake jiejian did with the tenses-"the person i admire most is hoexian. he WAS a guy." miss ngiam's comment? "so is he still a guy?" NO OFFENCE OKAY. jiejian is still nice.)
ANYWAY. one guy came over and asked us "is it raining outside" and asked his other friend over, who said "girls, you look so wet!"
ALL of which were in their caucasian accents.
went to the toilet to check out how horrible our hair was. and yes, it still looks horrible, ALRIGHT. the auntie asked us whether it was raining outside(in chinese). it was to popular after that to get joyce's books for sec3 english and history.
had people giving weird stares all the time. felt totally awkward ><
had to buy a comb/brush, whatever to comb my hair so that i wouldn't look like a crazy woman in church.
yeah. so thats pretty much all.
i shall blog more about my new year's resolutions TOMORROW.

HAPPY BOXING DAY!the unwrapping of all my presents were done close to 4 days before christmas. so yes, i have no boxing day):
christmas was spent at home, doing the usual things. and a little math homework.
i've given up on the entire graph thingy cause its been totally wiped out from my mind. i'm guilty as charged. my whole head seems to be empty and it feels like the whole world is crashing (THE SKY IS FALLING!) when we finally come to realise, with the same ominous feeling when storm clouds gather, that SCHOOL IS REOPENING IN 1.2.3.4.5.
6DAY/S TIME!and yet all of us fail to realise how quickly those 6 blissful days are going to past and refuse to complete their holiday homework(maybe for a fact that for the sec3s, school reopening is the start of a cheapo, no kick SCOUT CAMP. i want OBS, please?)and are going to rush it on a nice tuesday, i think.
so much for long holidays.
i'm looking forward to see how fast 2008 will DASH by and *poof* by the time we know it?
this years sec2s(and of course, they are next years sec3s)will be taking their O levels.
time passes too soon for our own good.
i am SO going to make full use of next year to catch up on my science, which is the subject i suck most at. and get good results for O's(:

i just came back(FINE, maybe not JUST)from shopping with joyce, liying,nicholas and SHIFU-in case he scolds me for disrespecting him.
yeah, so here's to an awesome christmas eve spent with my friends.
went out in the morning to meet
yikiat SHIFU because he wanted to play at the arcade. but apparently, joyce wanted to meet me first and so we ended up being 40minutes late. can't beat nicholas though. it was like, 11.30am when he called and claimed he was still at home -.-
decided to go to orchard first, since lot1 is SUPER boring.
the ride there was SO NOISY, i have to say. everyone had their earpieces plugged in(maybe not joyce)and if you consider that noisy..
i forgot where we stopped.

THE BEST. its super good. and tempting, for one. the pretzels were almost waving at me and screaming "eat me! eat me!" and out of all the times, a woman had to ask for a sour cream one. how tempting would that be?
there was one super seductive looking pretzel, FYI.
went to pull&bear to check out the tops. didn't buy any.

had my usual caramel frappuccino. with whipped cream. whats a frap without whipped cream? aww. COME ON.
the guys left
and the girls could, for lack of a better word, gossip.*does surrender action*yes i know its wrong. but it was a time for us to let out what we've kept inside for so long. and its unhealthy to bottle up our feelings. yucks.it was a time when we could talk ALOT.
and the topics no matter how wide? always revolved around guys/girls.
went back to far east to buy my stuff! and then to topshop to buy a brown coloured top.
WHEEEEEES. i'm happy with my loot today!
joyce got extremely agitated today while queueing up, since those people in front were buying NOT SAY ALOT OF THINGS WORH.
those cut queue people are NOT excused from her wrath either. HAHAHHAA ;D
we took 190 back to lot one. the bus trip was fulfilling. we talked alot about what we were unhappy with and all those stuffs. and its pretty much good that we could share yeah. beats keeping everything to yourself till you blow up and explode or something.
liying got her stuff for her cousin and we went to macs to have some fries.
had to leave after that.

i'm BACK from MT :D
so much happened man.
and boy did the ten days pass so fast.
right, i shall summarize what happened briefly everyday.
dont mind me if i get the things we did mixed up.
i have serious STM.
FIRST DAY.
arrived at bangkok and sat the bus to buayai.
had dinner with the entire YI halfway through the trip and headed back on the bus to the resort.
reached the resort and rested.
didn't do much on that day.
but hongzhang lasted his own concert for a whole two hours.
so much for nicholas's head for curry though.
YILIN AND GLADYS WERE MY ROOMMATES.
think about the crazy things we did!
SECOND DAY.
went to teach english at a school.
they were pretty teachable i guess.
and i have to say that they were more enthusiastic than what you can expect singaporean students to be.
did evangelistic stuffs.
THIRD DAY.
went to another school, which we were supposed to be at for the next day as well.
the students there were pretty nice too.
and they were keen to learn. plus, spontaneous.
had a rally at night.
did tracting to inform people about the rally first.
and we could hear the people chanting because of a funeral from far.
the spiritual atmosphere wasn't so good because there was a huge buddha statue in the building we were supposed to do the skits and stuff in front of and there was an altar near it.
but i think we were really prayerful and God really answered our prayers luhs.
children started coming, followed by adults.
it was a really powerful event.
and we asked for those who wanted healing as well.
i'm awed by the courage of those who decided to take that step of faith and ask for healing.
one lady even asked let us cut off her charms!
lesson learnt?
be prayerful at all times, no matter what circumstance.
and always praise God, not just to draw attention because God will draw men to Him at His own timing, which is the best :D
FOURTH DAY.
went to the school again and were supposed to watch FACING THE GIANTS in thai. but i think we couldn't get it working and the plan was delayed for a little while.
made friends with many nhong nhongs.
and they even bought ice cream for sheryl and i. sweet eh? but we couldn't eat them ><
has mass evangelism.
did skits and sang songs.
saw many salvations.
for the students and even TEACHERS.
awesome eh?
did another rally at night.
this time, we heard christian songs playing in thai.
and i think it led us to the place we were supposed to be at.
ahahahah(:
led the kids for games with desmond, hongzhang and nicholas.
did several skits.
had testimony by desmond and sharing by justin.
saw many people saved.
asked for those who wanted healing again, and this time, quite a number of people came out.
there was this guy who left a pretty deep impression on me.
he had a pain in his leg and couldn't walk properly. we prayed for him and he got better.
sunil came over and saw that he wasn't right mentally.
so we prayed again and we could see that his expression was totally different from what we saw before we prayed for him for THAT particular thing.
PRAISE THE LORD!
learnt that we should be sensitive to the Holy Spirit at all times.
and listen out for what He has to say.
FIFTH DAY.
had children ministry.
i shared my testimony with the help of God.
i just gave everything to Him and He really gave me the courage to go up and share.
awesome :D
mixed around with the children.
i think we went to kon kaen to help out with the concert that night as well.
SIXTH DAY.
there was church service, since it was sunday.
didn't understand anything at all, and when i told the rest of my group, they were like "duh?!"
went to a village. but we didn't have rally because it was too small.
so we did door to door evangelism/tracting.
God really used sheryl,yaode,daniel,shunji(and i forgot who else)mightily.
really awesome how sheryl knew what the statues meant.
camwhored with nicholas and desmond when they weren't back yet.
went for dinner at some place. had noodles. and the guys complained it was too little and went to another place to eat more.
nicholas ate two more plates -.-
i'm not sure whether it was this day, but alex and desmond started doing very gross things in the van. and sheryl has the video!
hongzhang scared me with a cockroach until i cried.
thanks uh.
desmond had to catch the cockroach from our room :D
showered last that day.
i didn't feel like bathing early =X
SEVENTH DAY.
woke up pretty early since we had to check out that day and had to pack our beds and room.
hongzhang FROZE the two disgusting insects to death, along with a few pocky sticks and a bit of chocolate milk, i think.
i pity whoever is going to use that bottle next. gross.
went to tesco(it was a surprise, mind you)
we thought we were going to a village and we ended up at a supermart.
sunil said we were SLOW. hahaha :D
ate ALOT of doughnuts.
headed back to church for debrief.
it was really awesome how God has used stephen to speak to us so much.
the verses he has shared with us and all has really encouraged us to ENCOURAGE each other with verses as well.
we took turns to pray for each other and spoke into each others lives.
it was a great time of prayer.
everyone teared/cried during that debrief.
the Holy Spirit really worked in us!
the bus to bangkok came at 11pm.
all of us slept on the bus, since it was a close to 8 hour bus ride.
nicholas put his leg on my armrest and i ended up resting my arm on his leg instead of the armrest -.-
we were FREEZING to death at the back.
hahaha.
EIGHTH DAY.
reached maxx hotel at around 6am in the morning.
gathered at the huge hall and waited for pastor daniel to arrive so we could celebrate his birthday.
went to shower after that and gathered again for briefing because we were going to MBK to shop.
BUAYAI people were the first to be down at the lobby for shopping. lols.
dingming started editing photos on the bus ride to MBK >< heh.
the guys shopped more than us at MBK lor.
i walked for around 3hours before i decided to buy something.
in the end? i only bought 3 shirts.
dinner-ed at the sizzler.
sheryl and i shared a steak and it was already super filling for us.
walked around more and went back to maxx hotel.
there WASN'T any house warming.
sheryl and i ordered club sandwiches and they were delicious.
ohyeah. i sent my clothes for laundry that day.
they smell super nice.
nicholas, daniel and alfred had night party in the corridor.
sheryl and i slept at around 12midnight! EARLIER than anyone else i think.
LAST DAY.
had breakfast pretty early in the morning.
packed our stuff and checked out of the hotel.
went high on the way to the airport.
had lunch at the airport and went to gate E9.
our group was MIA because we went INSIDE first.
the plane ride back was super tiring.
i slept pretty much.
and DAD IN LAW was sitting behind us.
with weihao too.
took unglams of him.
waited super long for our luaggages and when we walked out?
we saw our "fan club" waiting for us.
jacelyn gave us a bouquet of "roses" each.
super sweet.
peiru,liying,cleo,joyce,yingying,yikiat,sean,jiajun and daniel were there too.
went home after that :D
I MISS MISSION TRIP ALREADY.
AND ALL THE PRETTY STARS THERE.
I'LL BRING BACK WHATEVER I'VE LEARNT THERE TO SINGAPORE AND APPLY IT TO MY EVERYDAY LIFE!
